We have fought hard to get to the cusp of overturning Roe v. Wade in the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, advocates have spent decades establishing laws that support and encourage life in our state legislatures.

But now, Democrats are pushing a vote on a horrible federal abortion bill. It would make Roe v. Wade national law. Already this bill has 48 total co-sponsors in the U.S. Senate. Reports say this bill could be on the floor at any moment through Rule XIV.

This one vote in the U.S. Senate could erase all of this work! We cannot sit on the sidelines and allow the deaths of innocent Americans.

I urge you to do everything in your power to fight against bills that would make it easier to kill children via abortion.

Such bills will strip protection from parents being involved in their child’s medical decisions, deny medically accurate information necessary for informed consent and skip the time necessary to make a thoughtful decision on a life-altering, life-ending decision.
In addition, these bills will make it easier for human traffickers to continue abuse of young girls. It will make it harder to detect their crimes and rescue these young women.

Please remember that half of those killed by abortion are women too. All of these babies deserve the chance for life.

I want to close with words from Mother Teresa of Calcutta who served some of the poorest and most downtrodden of society. She said, “It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”

Please block this bill and give these children the chance to live.
