A demand letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and all members of the 119th Congress:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to urge Congress to take immediate action to stop the systematic poisoning of Americans through our food, water, and medical supply.
The health of this nation is a bipartisan issue, and as our elected leaders, I expect YOU to fight to ensure our food supply is SAFE.
That includes:
1. Pass legislation to permanently STOP allowing poisons in our foods!
The FDA currently allows more than 10,000 chemicals to be used as food additives, despite hard scientific evidence that these “additives” cause everything from ADHD to eczema to cancer. In contrast, the European Union only allows 338 food additives.
2. Permanently close the revolving door between the FDA and the companies it regulates.
Purdue Pharma, creator of the Oxy addiction crisis, were among the first to use the trick of promising FDA employees jobs with massive salaries in return for approving their often-questionable drugs. Since that time, nearly every oversight agency has been infiltrated and/or overtly influenced by the very corporations they are meant to regulate.
3. Overhaul the FDA.
Our food supply decisions should not be made by junk science peddled by corporate lobbyists. Overhaul the FDA to ensure science, not corporate greed, determines what is safe for Americans.
4. Adopt CLEAN European food standards.
Europe has some of the cleanest food in the world, precisely because they have banned companies like Monsanto from poisoning their food supply with cancer-causing chemicals. The U.S. should immediately adopt similar standards.
Despite being one of the richest countries in the world, Americans have the poorest health. And the cause can be traced right back to our corrupted and poisoned food supply.
