Dear Legislator,

In the wake of devastating flooding in Texas, it became known that cloud seeding had occurred in the region. Geoengineering, including cloud seeding and sun blocking to control the rain and sun, raises serious questions about unintended consequences. These activities go beyond local borders and should be better monitored and controlled. We urge you to support the bill to investigate and ban these activities without permission.

These experimental activities include the following:

  • Seeding clouds to control rainfall and snowfall amounts, which could lead to intense flooding nearby.

  • Releasing particles into the air to block the sun’s rays from hitting the earth, which could harm or block the ability of plants to grow and damage the food supply, causing mass starvation. Then they turn around and sell “cooling credits” to generate money for more experiments.

These are deeply concerning actions that could have devastating effects directly and indirectly on the whole planet. Blocking the sun could cause global starvation, and artificial rain could lead to flooding, mudslides, devastation, and death. Yet these radical experiments are being funded by individuals, businesses, towns, and states with consequences that go far beyond their control.

I urge you to investigate with public hearings and act immediately to place a moratorium on these dangerous weather manipulation experiments that could cause a global catastrophe.
