Press Release: Many Christian Leaders Boldly “Stand With RFK”

Oct 2, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In the wake of a recent U.S. Senate Finance Committee hearing where Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was questioned about his leadership and transparency at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a coalition of 52 evangelical leaders and professionals signed on to a letter organized by Liberty Counsel Action urging President Donald Trump to remain supportive of Kennedy’s efforts to Make America Healthy Again.

On Sept. 4, 2025, Secretary Kennedy testified before the committee as part of a broader hearing on “The President’s 2026 Health Care Agenda.” Much of the tense and combative questioning centered on Kennedy’s handling of vaccine-related policy and personnel changes at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Both Democrat and some Republican Senators pressed Kennedy about his efforts to review long-term effects of vaccines, changes to the childhood vaccine schedule, the wholesale replacement of the CDC’s 17-member Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and the firing of CDC Director Susan Monarez over trustworthiness concerns. At the hearing, senators attacked Kennedy’s competency over his vaccine skepticism and for questioning “scientific consensus” whereby some Democrats called for his resignation. Kennedy defended the changes contending these reforms were “absolutely necessary” to fix a “broken” health system.

“We are the sickest country in the world,” Kennedy said. “That’s why we need to fire people at CDC. They did not do their job. This was their job to keep us healthy.”

The letter, signed by influential leaders such as Liberty Counsel and Liberty Counsel Action Chairman Mat Staver, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, Wallbuilders Founder David Barton, and many more, expresses “steadfast support” for Kennedy’s leadership. The coalition states that the attacks on his competency and the calls for his resignation are both “unwarranted” and “irresponsible.”

The letter reads in part:

“Secretary Kennedy is to the medical and pharmaceutical establishment what you, Mr. President, are to the entrenched political establishment — a proven leader whose tireless efforts to make us healthy, restore unbiased science, and whose ongoing ‘wins’ threaten those with deep pockets and ties to the deep state. The following accomplishments speak for themselves:

  • “He rejected sovereignty-eroding amendments to the International Health Regulations from the World Health Organization, stating, ‘The proposed amendments ... open the door to the kind of narrative management, propaganda, and censorship that we saw during the COVID pandemic.’
  • He is cleaning ‘the swamp’ in our health agencies by addressing the ‘revolving door’ that exists between NIH, the CDC, and Big Pharma.
  • Under his leadership, hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of National Institutes of Health spending linked to DEI initiatives was terminated.
  • He banned the poisonous mercury-based preservative thimerosal in flu shots.
  • He has started to cleanse our food supply, prohibiting various food dyes and targeting the prohibition of other toxic food additives and chemicals — many of which Europe and Canada banned long ago.”

As the letter notes, the defamation of Kennedy primarily surrounds his willingness to question why America is the “sickest country in the world” despite children receiving “almost a hundred” vaccines—more than any previous generation. The question leads directly to Big Pharma.

The letter states:

“Daring to question the efficacy and safety of the current vaccine schedule has raised the ire of ‘Big Pharma,’ which not only earns billions from the current vaccine schedule but also is immune to lawsuits stemming from the harm caused by their products. In other words: There is no incentive for Big Pharma to ensure vaccine safety. Rather, their incentive lies in ensuring their products are placed on the vaccine schedule.

“It is unsurprising, then, that, many of the individuals questioning his leadership and calling for his resignation are collectively the recipients of millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.”

At Kennedy’s swearing in ceremony, he said that “a healthy person has a thousand dreams” while “a sick person only has one.” Currently, he noted, “60 percent of our population only has one dream.” Therefore, the coalition “stands with Secretary Kennedy, amidst any further accusations against his ability, character, or competency,” and humbly requests the Trump administration “do the same.”
