House heroes like Rep. Steve Scalise and Rep. Ann Wagner are pushing a "discharge petition." If we get a majority of House Representatives to sign it, that will get the Born-Alive Act on the schedule. This will bypass House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who has been blocking this bill for months. Now is the moment to pressure our representatives to officially sign this.

Liberty Counsel Action has a target list of 31 U.S. Representatives and our staff will be reaching out to as many as we can, asking them to support legal direction and protection for infants who survive an abortion.

In addition, we are walking the halls of Congress fighting for nearly a dozen other amendments through the budget process. Some continue to prohibit international aid for abortions, to protect medical students who decline to be trained on abortions, and many more.

As a pastor in 1983, I was invited to watch a documentary called, "Assignment Life." It was a gripping overview of abortion. That documentary was like getting punched in the stomach. Not long thereafter I decided to enter law school to fight for innocent life.

We just co-sponsored the premiere of "Unplanned," which is the powerful true story of Abby Johnson. She went from overseeing more than 20,000 abortions to become a powerful advocate for the preborn.

Abortion is such a horrible tragedy. The brutality is unspeakable. The lies are designed to keep the killing machines going. Our nation needs to rise up out of the fog and truly fight for unborn lives. We must do everything in our power to be a voice for the voiceless.
