Democrats are now dragging the new head of the Department of Homeland Security into their witch hunt. This exposes how desperate they are to keep our borders open. Will you help me fight back? - Mat
U.S. House members demanded official testimony from DHS's Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan in a new congressional investigation. This appears to be based on a CNN reporter's claim that he overheard President Trump--perhaps joke--that if McAleenan was arrested for doing his job, he would be pardoned.
President Trump has denied the interaction and labeled it "fake news." Yet, House Democrats are pushing forward with this significant distraction against the leadership of one of our nation's most overworked departments. And McAleenan is overworked directly because these same legislators refuse to fix current legislative loopholes. Right now, our borders are open to everyone who is willing to lie and game our system.
McAleenan will soon find himself in the hot seat testifying before Congress. This is a huge distraction from the emergency at our border. A new study, directed by President Trump, shows that 13 percent of those in our federal prisons are illegal immigrants. About 30 percent of those in the custody of our U.S. Marshals are illegal immigrants also, according to the Washington Times.
Our open borders are causing a huge drain on our nation. Liberty Counsel Action is committed to educating and advocating for a solution to this crushing problem. We cannot allow this cost to our nation and our communities to be swept under the rug of a congressional investigation into an alleged joke.

I believe the "real crime" to these Democrats is McAleenan is too close to the president and he is trying to do his job. Democrats could just ask this reporter for his recording of this alleged interaction between the President of the United States and one of the most controversial department heads in America. Instead, they are using these unsubstantiated claims to publicly humiliate and distract the leadership responsible for securing our borders.
