Despite all the vicious attacks on his presidency, President Trump has achieved a remarkable record of significant pro-life, pro-liberty and pro-family accomplishments during the first 28 months of his time in office. That fact alone testifies to God’s abiding favor on our nation.

In announcing a special day of prayer for President Trump, Rev. Franklin Graham said,

“In the history of our country, no president has been attacked as he has. I believe the only hope for him, and this nation, is God. This is a critical time for America. We’re on the edge of a precipice. Time is short. We need to pray for God to intervene. We need to ask God to protect, strengthen, encourage, and guide the President.”

I couldn’t agree more. But in the midst of this president’s extraordinary adversity, God has been faithful to bless our nation through Donald Trump’s presidency. Here is a very small sampling of the positive policy changes the Trump administration has implemented in a little over two years...

• Reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy, blocking $9 billion from going toward abortions
• Blocked taxpayer funding for the U.N. Population Fund (more abortions)
• Restored states’ freedom to defund abortion facilities
• Protected the religious or moral convictions of medical staff pressured to perform controversial medical procedures
• Helped faith-based groups give healthcare coverage to 13.7 million Americans
• Stopped the IRS from enforcing restrictions on churches’ political activity
• Formed a new Conscience and Religious Freedom Division in the Justice Department to protect religious freedom
• Established common-sense transgender policies in our military
• Ended the DOJ claims that the Civil Rights Act included "gender identity"
• Dropped a federal lawsuit against North Carolina’s "bathroom bill"
• Called for work requirements for welfare, one factor in achieving a 500,000 drop in Food Stamp use in a month
• Led our nation to the highest median income ever recorded, while unemployment claims fell to a 45-year low

Some of the President’s accomplishments will have a much longer impact. Donald Trump has appointed 112 judges to our federal judiciary and the positive impact of these men and women will last for decades! That is why I invite you to join me in prayer tomorrow, June 2, to thank God for the legacy this president will leave as well as for his protection from the outrageous attacks of his adversaries.

I believe that the most important duty we owe to our elected officials is to continually lift them up in prayer (1 Timothy 2:1). But if that is the only contribution we make to our nation, we will miss out on the opportunities and impact God intends us to have in our culture.

Right now we are waging one of the most important battles in American history. We are aggressively fighting the highly deceptive “Equality Act.”  I would love to flood our senators’ offices with a tidal wave of faxes when they return to session on Monday. I pray that we can add the defeat of this horrific legislation to the list of victories that we can celebrate during the Trump presidency.

Then they came for the bakers, and I did not speak out--because I did not sell cakes.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.
