One of my friends has cancer spreading through his body but he can't have surgery to remove it because the state deemed that "elective surgery." The current lockdown has banned his necessary life-saving surgery.

At the same time, I have another friend who is a cardiologist. He replaces heart valves. But the heart surgery is also considered "elective surgery." Now this highly trained doctor spends his days and weeks walking dogs ... waiting for America to reopen and hoping his clients don't die from a heart attack before then.

Cancer and heart attacks are not something a politician can put on pause with an emergency order. There are real life-or-death consequences caused by these lockdowns. It is urgently necessary to open America back up before more people are permanently hurt or even killed by these governors' emergency orders and over reactions.

It is time to get Americans back to work. Send a fax message to these governors to demand that our nation reopen for business, NOW.

Today, thousands of more protesters gathered across the nation at city halls and state capitals to demand an end to the lockdown. People sat in their cars for HOURS honking their horns in protest and urging governors to take action. Unemployment, hunger, homelessness, and depression don't take a break just because a politician gave a speech.

An elderly, impoverished holocaust survivor living alone in Israel under a five-week shutdown shocked the world. He was forgotten and went for a week without medication and five days with no food. "I am embarrassed, but ... what can I do? In my life I never dreamed that I could go five days with no food," Eliyhu said in Hebrew. "I swear to you. Many times, I decided to commit suicide." But instead this 94-year-old called the police and his life was saved.

But there are many in America in the same situation. The Census Bureau says 11 million elderly people live alone in America. These people are spending weeks cut off from encouragement, help, and support.

It is time to end the lockdown in America. Contact every governor and demand the freedom to help and serve others today. Make your voice heard now.

In addition, there are many forgotten people in America right now. They are being harmed by the lockdown but their voice is being ignored because they do not fit the mainstream media's narrative.

• Some are unemployed or under-employed and unable to get government benefits because of long lines and technology failures. They are facing extreme poverty right now.
• Soup kitchens are running out of food.
• Crisis pregnancy centers are seeing huge increases in need and many are lacking the supplies and volunteers to meet these needs.
• Those marginalized by mental health issues are unable to receive support.
• People stuck in abusive relationships are under extreme stress in our nation right now.
• AA meetings in churches have been suspended. And it is increasingly easy for people to relapse into damaging behaviors involving drugs, adult images, child abuse, petty theft, and red-light districts.

These people are left without hope as hundreds of thousands of churches have locked their doors and gone home. Our churches and our communities need to reopen, now. Let these governors know today.
