Advancing Life and Liberty Through Action
Jul 1, 2022
If we remain silent and think the battle has been won, everything we gained on June 24 in the Dobbs abortion decision will be gone. This incredible opportunity to protect life and end abortion will be missed. And the worst part about all this is—millions of children will suffer and die!
The battle is being waged on two fronts—Congress and the states.
We need to urge U.S. senators, governors and pro-life-leaning states to PROTECT LIFE AND END ABORTION.
In addition to the push in the Senate to abolish the filibuster in order to pass an abortion bill, this week judges in Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, Texas and Utah have put a temporary pause on enforcing the states’ ban on abortion as the litigation progresses through the lower courts. These orders continue abortions as usual.
At the same time, at the federal level, there is an incredible push for the Senate to destroy the filibuster and pass extreme abortion bills. And there are also extensive efforts at the federal level to push chemical abortions into every state.
The battle to save the lives of these children is fierce. Make your voice heard today at both levels to fight for life. Fax our governors and senators to demand that they fight to PROTECT LIFE AND END ABORTION! —Mat

There is much work still to do to end abortion. Someone recently emailed me saying, “The battle is over!” I wish that were true. We could lose everything if we do nothing. The battle for life has just begun!
Another new challenge is that 80 district attorneys published an open letter on June 29 refusing to enforce any state laws banning abortion in their counties. This is in direct opposition to their sworn duty to uphold the law.
The following states all have one or more district attorneys who have gone rogue: Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee, Michigan, Georgia, Virginia and Wisconsin. This means that the governors in these states will have to decide how to deal with errant district attorneys who are in open defiance of state abortion bans.
Working in the legal world, I have seen a state vigorously defend a right, and I have seen other states intentionally put up a weak defense to lose a case. As the top executives in their states, these governors have significant power to direct and encourage this legal effort. This legal defense is just one of dozens of abortion-related decisions facing our governors.
Governors will have to decide how their state's law will view women who travel across state lines to kill their child, and how their states will treat companies who pay for out-of-state abortions. The list goes on …
Meanwhile, a similar abortion battle rages in the Senate. America is facing a massive battle over abortion at every turn. We must fight for these precious children. Send faxes right away to urge our senators and governors to give these children a chance for life!
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra already created a government task force to focus on how best to push abortion on demand under the guise of “reproductive healthcare.”
He states, “If there is something we can do [to push abortions], we will find it and we will do it at HHS. Indeed, that was the instruction I received from the President of the United States.”
But even that was not enough. Here is a list of additional actions Becerra said HHS is taking:
In fact, Becerra was so radically pro-abortion that he was at a Planned Parenthood clinic when the Dobbs ruling came down on June 24, and then drove to another one afterward. The states must create a firewall. We must stop the Biden administration.
And there is a clear path to stop them.
“At HHS, we will leave no stone unturned,” Becerra said. “All options are on the table. We will do everything within our legal limit of the law to reach patients and support providers.”
Did you catch the “within our legal limit” part? This means the U.S. Senate and state governors hold incredible power to protect life and end abortion. The states in particular can be safe sanctuaries for the unborn—but the governors must stand strong against these headwinds.
These senators and governors must also stand firm in the face of violence, vandalism and intense pressure. They must hear from you to urge them to fight for life now. Your faxes put these senators, governors and pro-life-leaning states on notice that we care about children, and they must take immediate action.
We are facing a battle in 50 states and in Congress. The stakes couldn’t be higher. My team is passionately committed to defending life in the halls of Congress and the states across the nation until every child is safe from the scourge of abortion.
But we cannot do this alone. I invite you to partner with us in this fight for life. When you do, a generous Challenge Grant will DOUBLE YOUR GIFT’s IMPACT. Please, give generously today.
Pray that God will overturn the culture of death in America!
