The threat to our freedom from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) proposed new treaty and amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) is impossible to overstate. This week I was the guest presenter on X to experts in the U.S. and around the world who are very concerned. At the same time, we are making great progress.

Today is the last day of final negotiations within the Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (WGAIHR) before it goes to a vote at the World Health Assembly in May. The Director-General opened this meeting with congratulations for the “move towards the collective goal of making the IHR a tool fit for purpose in the years to come.”

Unfortunately, their “collective goal” is not one that is compatible with freedom. Stop Joe Biden and the WHO by faxing Congress today. — Mat

I love getting emails back from our supporters who engage their elected representatives.

Bob* just forwarded an email to me from his legislator who responded to him with a false claim that I’ll respond to:

“The IHR does not provide the WHO with enforcement authority, and assertions that the IHR could interfere with health care decisions in the United States are unfounded,” this legislator wrote.

But on the IHR homepage, the WHO states, “The IHR are an instrument of international law that is legally-binding on 196 countries, including the 194 WHO Member States” (emphasis in original).

These amendments clearly state that the WHO will direct the launch of intensified global “surveillance,” “investigations,” and “control measures” relating to health that includes “countering misinformation and disinformation” and “logistics.”

This language will force nations to be the puppet of the WHO while it directs what action each nation must take.

This section also states that the WHO will “coordinate with and support the local level in “preparing for and responding to public health risks” that include accessing “laboratory diagnostics, including referral of samples; implementation of control measures; [and] access to health services and health products.”

Wait, there’s one more ...

It is not just the IHR that is being negotiated. The SECOND document is the Pandemic Treaty, which states that the WHO demands “control measures in all health care facilities and institutions, in line with relevant international standards and guidelines.”

The WHO plans to insert itself into our health care decisions and options here in America.

In the conclusion of the Pandemic Treaty, the WHO states that while nations can make “declarations,” those declarations must “not purport to exclude or to modify the legal effect of the provisions of the WHO Pandemic Agreement.”

So, if there is a conflict between a member state (nation) and the WHO, this new document states the WHO trumps the member state. Under this document, each nation must bow to whatever the WHO declares.

We are racing against the clock but making progress. This month, Sen. Mitch McConnell became the 49th Republican to co-sponsor S 444, which will require 2/3 vote of the U.S. Senate for any WHO agreement. We are making great strides with state attorneys general, governors, and international leaders.

The WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, understands this is a make-or-break moment. At the beginning of this IHR meeting on Monday, he announced: “We cannot afford to miss this opportunity.”

Tedros went on to state that “if we fail to conclude this process now, it’s only to become more difficult to negotiate strong amendments to the IHR.”

And by “strong,” he means stripping freedom away from people and placing power in the hands of global dictators.

If the WHO is in charge of global health, everyone will suffer.
