One Vote Made the Difference

Jun 19, 2024

Your vote matters! In Kentucky, a state House race was decided by just one vote in favor of Democrat Jim Glenn over the Republican incumbent D.J. Johnson. The vote was 6,319 versus 6,318!

In Virginia, the entire state House leadership and majority was determined by a single vote. There were 50-49 seats decided with one hanging in the balance. After examination, one ballot was mismarked and discarded. This created a tie between Democrat Shelly Simonds and Republican David Yancey, both with 11,607 votes. They had to draw a name to pick the winner. Just one more vote could have given Democrats control over the entire chamber.

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) won by less than 0.5% of the vote in 2018. Thank God he did, because his radical Democrat opponent would have locked Florida down and appointed liberal justices to the Florida Supreme Court. After his slim win in 2018, he dramatically changed the state for good with his next election and his appointees to the Florida Supreme Court went on to reverse 35 years of horrible abortion precedent.

Despite these small margins, I hear people believe the lie that their vote doesn’t matter. Each vote does matter.

Yet millions — as many as 40 million Christians — do not exercise their right to vote in America each election. We are facing a clash of visions that could not be clearer, one for freedom and moral character and the other for tyranny and immorality.

The best way to free these critical voters to get involved is to help them understand the moral impact of voting through educating church leaders across our nation to exchange the muzzle for a megaphone to call our nation to repentance and live out our faith in every area of life — including when we vote! Sponsor as many pastors and churches as possible today to receive our pocket-size Patriot’s Handbook of Political Action for Pastors and Churches. — Mat

We are facing a choice of life or death at the polls this fall, and we have the opportunity to turn our nation around if we do everything in our power to educate and activate people to get out and vote biblical values. There is a huge contrast between good and evil this year. Do you want elected leaders celebrating the life of a 2-year-old who survived birth at 21 weeks and 6 days, or do you want them pushing abortion and encouraging kids to harm themselves with puberty blockers or mutilate their bodies?

During a past State of the Union speech, some celebrated the joy of this tiny baby surviving, other members of the U.S. House sat stone-faced, not even looking at this precious little girl and the tears running down her mother's cheeks in gratitude for her life. They refused to even clap for her beautiful life being saved because her mere existence cuts to the core of abortionists' arguments. Such people should not serve in public office.

There are precious children who are going into abortion clinics daily and brutally dismembered. How can anyone remain silent?

In November, we choose leaders from the White House to the State House, and from Congress to local government. We have clear choices between life and death. But that is not the only choice that we face.

There is an onslaught of global policies happening in America and around the world to steal our freedom. These globalists want to control your money, your travel, your work opportunities, your housing options, and every aspect of your freedom.

We can sit back and allow a One World Order, or we can push back and stop this tyranny now through mobilization and engagement. However, we are facing an intentionally misleading and false campaign by those who want to confuse, intimidate, and silence religious leaders and people of faith.

Liberty Counsel Action is educating and mobilizing tens of thousands of pastors and churches to vote biblical values.

Secularists have engaged in a misinformation campaign to silence pastors and churches. We must educate and motivate them to exchange the muzzle for a megaphone.

I'm asking you to help arm us to reach tens of thousands of pastors and churches. With just 10 dollars, you can sponsor two pastors and churches to receive our powerful resource on what they CAN and MUST do. Sponsor as many pastors as possible to receive our pocket-size booklet for pastors and churches today.

I want to thank you for the incredible privilege of standing beside you in this battle. LCA's team starts each day in prayer. We ask for hearts of wisdom. And every day, we seek ways to better our nation.

Our whole team sees this as a ministry. Thank you for empowering us to come together on the most effective ways to lead and guide our nation. We invite you to partner with us in this vision to restore our nation. Become a monthly sponsor or give a one-time gift to keep our ministry armed and actively serving on Capitol Hill and across the world.
