The White House ignored Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) bill he filed to reign in “gain-of-function" (GOF) research. Instead, the Biden-Harris administration released a disturbing policy entitled “Research of Concern and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential.”

Instead of Sen. Paul’s proposal to have a congressional board review to guarantee that GOF is not being used to make a virus transferrable to humans or more deadly, the Biden-Harris administration want to leave it up the individual scientist to designate GOF research and place responsibility under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). Using the NIH is like designating the fox to guard the henhouse.

The White House’s policy will empower the same people that lied to us and were part of a conspiracy to cover up those lies.

The same government that lied to us about gain of function research in the first place, is now wanting more autonomy. We now know that the NIH funded GOF and that Wuhan engaged in GOF research. The World Health Organization tried to cover for Wuhan. And now the Biden-Harris administration wants to give the WHO global authority of “public health.” Make your voice heard in Congress and demand they stop Biden from placing America under the damaging policies of the WHO.

NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence Tabak admitted to Congress that the U.S. funded GOF research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China in the months and years before the COVID pandemic.

Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic asked, “Dr. Tabak, did NIH fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through EcoHealth [Alliance]?”

“It depends on your definition of gain-of-function research,” Tabak said. “If you’re speaking about the generic term, yes, we did.”

GOF research is part of the controversy that many believe led to the release of the COVID-19 virus from a U.S-funded lab in Wuhan.

By definition, “gain of function” research manipulates viruses, making them more contagious and able to cross species barriers. It is an extremely dangerous field of study, as a newly created virus could escape the lab and become a super virus that natural immune systems cannot easily combat.

For decades, researchers have warned that such “studies” had the potential of creating a manmade global pandemic. However, COVID-19 was not the first of such occurrences.

Interestingly, in a 2012 paper published in mBio, the open-access journal of the American Society for Microbiology, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that “the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.”

That same year, one such “gain of function” bioengineered virus did escape the lab, creating the “bird flu” epidemic of 2012. As a result, the NIH was forced to implement strict guidelines for overseeing any such projects, putting a moratorium on GOF research grants.

But then the NIH broke its own rules and funneled taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan lab ... and COVID-19 was born and spread.

In 2020, very early in the pandemic, Liberty Counsel Action suggested that COVID-19 may have come from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. However, Facebook, PolitiFact, The Washington Post and many others censored us, calling the statement a “conspiracy theory.”

The released emails from Dr. Tony Fauci show that he was frantically trying to hide how he funded GOF research in the Wuhan lab that likely created COVID-19!

An email from one scientist to Fauci states, "The unusual features of the [COVID] virus ... look engineered."

The next day, Fauci sent a frantic email to his deputy, Dr. Hugh Auchincloss, saying, “it is essential that we speak this AM. … You will have tasks today that must be done.” Fauci attached a PDF titled “gain-of-function" with the names of two scientists working with the Wuhan lab.

One scientist even publicly listed Fauci and the NIAID/NIH in her paper and thanked him for contributing to her GOF work with the Wuhan lab!

Since then, Fauci admits what he once denied. The emails show he lied to cover up. No criminal charges, no loss of retirement benefits, no apology to the American people, nothing. Instead, these radicals are pushing full steam ahead to create a new plan that will not fix the problem.

And worse, the Biden-Harris administration is fully behind the plan to elevate the Marxist World Health Organization over the United States and the entire world.

Now the NIH has admitted that we were right. Mark Zuckerberg reversed course. PolitiFact has removed its “fact check” article. And the Post backpedaled with a May 25 follow-up article: “Timeline: How the Wuhan lab-leak theory suddenly became credible.”

Unfortunately, the credibility of the White House is destroyed and stained with the blood of those who died needlessly. We must stop the WHO before it’s too late. Send your urgent faxes to members of Congress to oppose sacrificing Americans’ sovereignty to WHO.
