In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the death toll is rising as communities in Appalachia and across the Southeast were decimated in a way that is hard to fathom. Mountainous Western North Carolina and surrounding areas will take years to recover, and some areas may NEVER be the same.
Nonprofit organizations, state-sanctioned National Guards, and Americans who would give you the shirt off their backs are rising to the challenge, meeting urgent needs, and even repairing roads while FEMA is hindering help and essentially ignoring the severity of the situation.
American CITIZENS in the wake of Hurricane Helene have lost their lives, loved ones, and livelihoods, yet illegal aliens are getting more assistance from the Biden-Harris administration than the victims of this storm of a century.
Let that sink in. It really does make you wonder ... do they hate us?
Maybe they would care more if this happened overseas in Ukraine, or if those affected had illegally crossed our southern border?
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) just introduced a bill “To terminate the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and for other purposes.” Join us in calling on Congress to stop funding illegals and start helping American citizens.

Rep. Mace said: “Kamala Harris and Alejandro Mayorkas have turned FEMA into a migrant resettlement agency. It’s time to end this mess.”
The bill just introduced in Congress states that “no Federal funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available to the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as in effect on the day before such date of enactment, or to any successor or similar program.”
The mainstream media is ignoring the severity of Helene, the deadliest U.S. mainland storm since Hurricane Katrina, while the Biden-Harris administration is padding the pockets of countries overseas and doing the bare minimum as hurricane victims suffer.
This storm wreaked havoc on so many and has already claimed many lives (well over 200 confirmed dead while hundreds are still missing). Entire homes washed away, bodies floating in floodwaters, families separated or displaced, businesses destroyed, roads decimated, residents trapped in the mountains with no access to food, clean water, medicine, power, or outside communication ... this is a nightmare.
Reports from X are coming in that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is now BLOCKING private citizens from helping to rescue victims, and that FEMA is failing (or refusing) to deploy crucial assets and resources. That is beyond cruel.
President Ronald Reagan was eerily correct in saying, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
Perhaps they would care a little more if this natural disaster had happened overseas instead of to the taxpaying citizens who fund the very government that is ignoring them.
Kamala Harris is busy talking about abortion on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and fundraising for her campaign while victims of Hurricane Helene starve and need rescue and support. Meanwhile, MIA Joe Biden seems to be either padding the pockets of foreign leaders or on vacation in Delaware.
On Saturday, Kamala Harris tweeted from her official account that 157 MILLION dollars of additional assistance for the displaced was being sent overseas to Lebanon, bringing the year’s total to over 385 MILLION dollars.
On September 26, the day of Hurricane Helene’s landfall in Florida, Joe Biden announced 8 BILLION dollars in military funding for Ukraine.
This year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced 300 MILLION dollars in funding to communities receiving migrants and nearly 341 MILLON dollars for the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) for migrants. This is on top of countless millions already funneled to those who invaded our nation via the southern border during the Biden-Harris administration.
And for the victims of Helene? An initial flexible payment of up to 750-dollars (not guaranteed) for some households, and in some cases, a FEMA or SBA Disaster Loan. Not to mention that they must apply online or by phone, which is pretty difficult to do when you have no power, cell service, or Wi-Fi.
This is a slap in the face to hardworking American citizens who love their country and lost EVERYTHING to a once-in-a-century storm.
On top of this, last week, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted FEMA “does not have the funds” to make it through the Atlantic hurricane season. Keep in mind, they have spent over 1.4 BILLION dollars in the past two years responding to the illegal immigration crisis. This is both heartbreaking and unacceptable.
Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) just introduced a bill to terminate FEMA’s SSP funds and REDIRECT these unspent funds to help Americans recover from national disasters like Helene. Her press release notes that “despite FEMA's role in disaster response, $650 million was allocated in fiscal year 2024 to coddle illegal aliens, rather than addressing urgent needs in the wake of deadly hurricanes and wildfires.”
Mace said, “It’s unacceptable for Americans to grapple with the catastrophic aftermath of Hurricane Helene while the federal government remains fixated on spending hundreds of millions on a program sheltering illegal immigrants instead of helping our own citizens.”
It’s tragic that in a Biden-Harris America, illegal immigrants are treated better than hurricane victims. This is the definition of America last, and Americans should keep this in mind at the ballot box in November.
As Western North Carolina and several surrounding states (South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, and beyond) are reeling from Hurricane Helene, another hurricane, Milton, is ravaging the state of Florida, and at the time of this writing, is a Category 5.
Will FEMA ignore Hurricane Milton victims, too?
