Advancing Life and Liberty Through Action

This Happened On Telemundo

Nov 1, 2024

This week we interviewed Raiza who also shared her moving story on Telemundo — an interview we arranged to reach the Hispanic community about the Florida abortion Amendment 4. The amendment would allow abortion up to birth and overrule parental consent laws. Her story brought tears to the Telemundo reporter.

At age 15, Raiza had a terrible experience. A man took advantage of her youthful innocence. After the shock of learning she was pregnant, thoughts raced through her mind about how she could be a mom — all while balancing work and school.

Raiza was overwhelmed. She leaned toward keeping her baby, but she decided there was “no way” she could handle being a mother. She saved money for the abortion, estimating she was at least 15 weeks along. “Every week, the prices went up,” Raiza was told.

She eventually worked up the courage to tell her mom to get a ride to the abortionist — for the worst experience of her life.

She went ahead with a chemical abortion that unleashed an unbelievable hell. The abortionist gave this 92-pound girl triple the recommended dose to give birth to her dead child.

What I’m about to share is what Democrats in Congress want to force on to teen girls across the nation, without the knowledge of their parents.

Tell Congress: VOTE NO on HR 12 and do not abolish the filibuster 60-vote rule.

Raiza had an ultrasound, but the abortionist was vague about details. They gave her two pills — one to kill and one to deliver — but knowing what Raiza knows now, she thinks she was too far along in her pregnancy.

After the first pill, Raiza was so sick and said, “I looked like death.” She was only 92 pounds and was constantly vomiting. The abortion staff then gave Raiza the second pill, even though she was violently ill. She returned to the abortion facility later and she looked awful. The abortion staff immediately took her into a back room for examination. There they gave her a second and then a third dose of Pitocin to induce labor.

She said the pain was so intense that she kept wondering what was wrong. “I feel really, really sick,” Raiza told the staff. “Is this normal?” But the staff dismissed her questions and just put her in another waiting room. She was told: “Someone will be back soon,” but she was abandoned in an oddly arranged room with three old recliners, a TV, and two bathrooms.

The “nurse” told Raiza she would be "right back” but left her in this cold sterile room to deliver her dead child all alone. This 15-year-old girl was by herself writhing in pain.

Raiza “could hear moaning, screams and groaning from a nearby room.” “I naively thought they were helping others in the rooms, and then they would help me.”

But help didn’t come.

Time seemed to slow because of her intense pain. Raiza called for help in a frail voice. “Someone help me; I need help.” But no one came. She could still hear other women moaning and yelling in a separate room.

But she couldn’t see anyone. There was no one. She was completely alone.

“I was in so much pain,” said Raiza, who thought she was hallucinating. She saw drops of blood on the floor and recliner, and she didn’t realize it was her own blood. She was hunched over. She knew something was wrong.

She remembered being told she could use the bathroom if she needed to, and she finally felt the urge to push.

She delivered the baby into the toilet and sat there in shock. Then suddenly the nurse showed up. “She had a bio waste bag” and “grabbed the baby out of the toilet and put it in the red bag.” No compassion whatsoever!

Raiza got up and again saw drops of blood and realized she was bleeding profusely. Raiza will never be the same person because of the trauma. It has taken her years to find healing.

But other 15-year-olds are facing this same decision. HR 12 is so far- reaching it will override EVERY state law. No one — not insurance providers, religious institutions, or people of faith— will be able to withdraw from participating in this horrific life-ending atrocity. Our nation will be facing this decision on Tuesday.

Between now the end of the year, abortion is the number one agenda item of the Democrats. And they only need a few more votes to pass HR 12. Worse, Kamala Harris is threatening to abolish the 60-vote filibuster to push death and much more. Stand in the gap and rescue these babies with your opposition to HR 12 today. Stop HR 12 and keep the filibuster rule.

It’s easy to distance ourselves and become complacent because we do not smell, hear, and see death and suffering.

For Raiza, depression came as “a dark cloud that set in over me,” she said. “I was devoid of any happiness. I just wanted to bury it and put those memories as far away from me as possible.” She was overwhelmed with remorse, and then regret. It has been 19 years since that terrible day, and Raiza just recently experienced forgiveness because of her faith and her God. But she warns, “Even with peace, [what happened] never goes away. I am never going to hold that child on this earth — ever.”

Raiza believes she had a daughter. She even named her “Luna.”

Now Raiza works with crisis pregnancies. And she spreads her personal message to others considering an abortion: “You don’t want to do this, I know it seems like a solution, but it’s not. No matter who is telling her that it is. I promise, I’ve been on the other side and it is not a solution. It is just another problem.” She concludes: “Surely death is not the solution.”

Now Raiza helps others avoid the pain she faced both physically and emotionally. You can help, too. Give today to support our efforts to coordinate sign-waving on Election Day and our work in Congress.

“I want you to know that this is not about politics, this is a matter of life and death,” Raiza said.
