Last Monday, five Republican Senators did not show up to vote on one of Joe Biden’s extreme judicial nominees to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. This court governs Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Had they shown up to do their job, this judge could have been blocked. Now he will serve for life.

Judges that were appointed by Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s are still on the bench in senior status — more than 45 years after they took office.

Every year, tens of millions of lawsuits are filed in America. Only 70 to 80 are taken up by the U.S. Supreme Court. This makes becoming a federal judge one of the most powerful positions in America.

Joe Biden and Senate Democrats have filled 221 Article III judges — 45 to the Courts of Appeal, 173 to the U.S. District Courts, and two to the Court of International Trade. Now Democrats are RACING to fill as many additional judicial positions as possible.

There are 22 nominations remaining with 37 vacancies in the District Courts and two in the Courts of Appeal, with 15 more vacancies that could be announced in the Courts of Appeal and 12 in the District Courts.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said “there is a sense of urgency now more than ever” to confirm these nominees.

Fox News described this as a “mad rush.” Democrats pushed three judges through last week, and this week they announced five more votes. The next 50 years are resting on these two months. Urge U.S. Senators to STOP Joe Biden’s activist judges.

The impact of this is very serious. A week ago, the Senate approved two radical judges by 49-45, one of which is Embry Kidd, who will now preside over Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said these states will now “suffer the consequences” because five Republican Senators failed to show up to vote.

President Donald Trump said: “The Democrats are trying to stack the Courts with Radical Left Judges on their way out the door. Republican Senators need to Show Up and Hold the Line — No more Judges confirmed before Inauguration Day!” (emphasis added).

The five Republicans who did not even show up to vote against his appointment included Sens. JD Vance (OH), Marco Rubio (FL), Bill Hagerty (TN), Mike Braun (IN), and Steve Daines (MT). Together, they could have blocked this judge.

We must demand that our Senators show up and do their jobs and vote against Joe Biden’s judicial nominees.

Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) joined the Republicans to vote against Kidd. He pledged to only vote for judges who have the support of at least one Republican. The media is now reporting that Sen. Manchin may be changing his mind and willing to support judges who have zero Republican support.

If Manchin caves, we will lose on dozens of nominations. If he holds to his position, we can block most of these extreme judges and leave these vacancies open for President Trump to fill next year.

Sen. Manchin and the Senate need to hear from you. The old adage that 90% of your job is showing up ... especially applies to our legislators right now.
