Advancing Life and Liberty Through Action
Dec 10, 2024
Most women, like 15-year-old Rachel,* feel pressured and coerced. Her mom thought she was living with her dad, but she was actually living with her boyfriend in Idaho. He turned 18 — about the time she got pregnant.
Rachel was “happy” when she found out she was pregnant, but her boyfriend was not.
He threatened Rachel. He would not pay child support, and, if Rachel kept the baby, he would end their relationship. His mom demanded that Rachel hide the pregnancy from her parents and threatened to evict her from the house if she kept the baby.
The boyfriend and his mom took Rachel to an abortion clinic in Oregon because she could not get the procedure in Idaho. Rachel was pressured to get the abortion, and she is not alone.
One study found that about 70% of women who have an abortion are coerced, pressured, or feel it was inconsistent with their own values.
Furthermore, most people don’t realize how abortion facilitates human trafficking. Abortion workers intentionally ignore the age of the girl — even when it is clear she has been a victim of human trafficking.
Liberty Counsel Action led the mobilization efforts in Florida, which became the first state in the nation to defeat an abortion amendment after Roe v. Wade was overturned. We know how to win.
The battle for life is expanding across the nation. We have the ability to win, but we need your help to do so. Help us save lives. DOUBLE your gift now with our Challenge Grant.

In Rachel’s situation, the boyfriend and his mother rented a car and drove this young mother about 550 miles from Pocatello, ID to Bend, OR. There, she had the abortion that was illegal in Idaho, without her parents’ knowledge or consent. Prosecutors charged the boyfriend and his mother with second-degree kidnapping. He is also facing rape and three counts of producing child sexually exploitative video and photos of Rachel.
An Idaho court recently upheld the state’s “abortion trafficking” law which includes “providing transportation and shelter to minors seeking abortions in other states.” Planned Parenthood and abortion advocates are going ballistic. Now they plan to place an initiative on the ballot to provide for unlimited abortion.
From rape to human trafficking, criminals desperately need abortion. Abortion kills children and degrades and harms women.
Another study found that “Nearly 87 percent of the survey participants indicated they experienced some form of interpersonal pressure” to get an abortion. One of my staff shared that she was fired by a previous employer for being pregnant. “Try getting a job at five months pregnant! It’s nearly impossible,” she said.
Abortion is NOT about choice. Most women feel pressured and coerced. There is nothing good about killing children and degrading women. As we move forward in 2025, we are even more focused on helping women and informing the public about abortion and the blessings of life.
+ + How to fix this. . .
Liberty Counsel Action was on the frontlines in Florida. We led the first state effort to successfully defeat an abortion ballot initiative in which Planned Parenthood and others spent over 137 million dollars. We hired an experienced team to deploy a winning strategy. We printed millions of fliers and signs, organized people to knock on doors, and educated pastors and others.
Now we want to take our winning strategy in Florida to every state. But we need your help. This effort was a significant drain on our resources, but we must expand our winning strategy to other states. We cannot do it without you.
We are organizing training for leaders across the nation. We are creating toolkits and templates to win. But we need your support.
To make America Great Again, we must not neglect the most vulnerable among us. Life is the right of all rights.
+ + More than one threat . . .
One of the biggest threats to protecting women like Rachel is at the federal level. Kamala Harris is pushing to abolish the 60-vote filibuster rule in the U.S. Senate to pass HR 12 — that would override every state abortion law.
HR 12 would be far worse than Roe v. Wade. This would preempt every state law. And our staff is in the halls of Congress constantly educating for life.
Section 3 of the bill states that any and all restrictions, or any and all rules, laws, and policies that might delay an abortion, must be erased. No parental consent. No health and safety measures. No abortion restriction would survive.
Democrats only need a couple more votes to abolish the filibuster, and then they could easily pass HR 12. Please help us at this critical time. Send your urgent faxes to block this bill and save lives!
Thank you for partnering with us to defend these innocent babies nationwide! We need your immediate help to win these critical battles.
