In the latest round of spending abuse exposed, we learned that the federal government annually spends about 20 BILLION dollars on brutal and pointless animal experiments.

Of that, 2 BILLION dollars were sent to foreign labs to pay for the abuse of dogs and other animals. Some of these experiments included cutting their spinal cords or pumping them full of drugs.

However, these tests are unnecessary, wasteful, and cruel. “It’s well known that because of the differences between animal and human biology, animal testing frequently does not produce results relevant for humans. In fact, 90% of novel drugs that are successful in animal tests fail in human clinical trials,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said in testimony last week.

But that isn’t stopping these cruel “scientists.” One batch of experiments going on right now is using about 300 beagle puppies that are drugged, killed, and discarded — every week. This specific experiment is under contract until May 31 of this year with little to no confidence that the results will be useful in sorting helpful drugs from harmful ones.

A shockingly significant amount of this money is going directly to China for “animal labs [that] are controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and linked to the Chinese military,” according to White Coat Waste. Why are we funding China?

With the impending budget deadline, urge Congress to use the budget reconciliation to slash this horrible spending and outrageous waste throughout our government.

Some of the studies specifically state that the reason beagles are often chosen for these cruel experiments is that the “Beagle dog is docile, cute, and easy to domesticate, so it has been the best choice” for this horrific torture.

Here are just a few recent examples of this torture:

• Dr. Anthony Fauci spent about 2.3 million dollars between 2020 and 2021 on an experiment that involved putting 6-month-old beagle puppies in a vest that would inject cocaine directly into their bloodstream to study the drug’s impact on their hearts before euthanizing them.

• Dr. Fauci gave 375,000 dollars to a beagle dog lab in North Africa (Tunisia), which drugged and locked their heads immobile inside mesh cages while they were eaten alive and killed by sand flies.

• Dr. Fauci gave 1.8 million dollars to a study in Menlo Park, CA, that cut the vocal cords out of beagle puppies so they couldn’t bark, and then injected and force-fed experimental drugs. The lab finally ended their suffering by killing all the puppies.

• Less than six months ago, a study concluded using dogs to create genetically caused muscle twitching. This was paid for by more than 124,000 dollars in Louisville, KY, in partnership with Duke University.

• Right now, 26 animal labs in China are eligible for funding brutal experiments for 300 beagle puppies every single week.

In the wake of these brutal animal experiments, which include funding Communist China, our government was still not spending enough. They had plans to pay 168,000 dollars for an exhibit at the NIH museum honoring Dr. Fauci in spite of his history of abject cruelty to animals and the responsibility he bears for the deaths of millions of people during COVID.

Urge Congress to act now to end this outrageous waste throughout our government immediately.

What is so frustrating is how our tax dollars have been wasted for decades on the most bazaar and inhuman experiments, like these:

• 10 million to create “transgender” monkeys, rats, and mice.

• 3 million dollars was earmarked for hamsters on steroids and egged on to fight each other.

• Half a million dollars to study racial aggression in mice. What?

• 600,000 dollars on romance between parrots.

• And so much more continues to come to the surface.

Even worse than the waste is the fact that we are funding projects that undermine America and American values.

We need to hold Congress’ feet to the fire and demand an end to this abuse and waste. Urge Congress to slash this outrageous and nonessential spending.
