Historic Vote - Now the Next Big Hurdle

May 24, 2025

President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” on the budget is now heading to the Senate where a former vice president of a Planned Parenthood affiliate — who is now a U.S. senator — will strongly resist the bill. Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN) went to D.C. for the purpose of fighting EVERY restriction on abortion.

She will not quietly accept this budget that strips funding for abortion — not for one or two years — but for the next decade!

On the Senate floor, Sen. Smith has equated murdering children to “freedom” and made the outlandish claim that “if people don’t control their reproductive lives, they don’t control anything in their lives.” In other words, if a woman cannot kill her child for any reason at any time, then a woman has no freedom.

Sen. Smith is a loud voice, often heard on this budget, pushing members of Congress to continue funding Planned Parenthood — her former employer. She has been asking for more than half a billion dollars to go to abortion providers every year.

We need to make sure that Sen. Smith’s voice is not the only one our legislators are hearing. Some Republicans lack strong resolve to defund Big Abortion and are willing to negotiate funding for other pet projects.

Hold Congress accountable with as many faxes as possible to demand that ALL abortion providers receive zero tax dollars.

Another abortion propagandist, Merle Hoffman, is founder, president, and CEO of CHOICES Women’s Medical Center (CHOICES) in Jamaica, New York. She shares Sen. Smith’s views and testified under oath in court that the “act of abortion positions women at their most powerful” because abortion gives women “power — and the responsibility — of taking life” so that they may control their own lives. This is evil. And it is playing out on a daily basis all across our nation.

At 10 weeks, Sarah* took the abortion pill. But her baby, whom she called “Bean,” didn’t die until after he was born.

First my water broke, then another push later [and the] baby came out quite quickly. … I grabbed a glove and fished in the toilet and [the] baby was in there.

As soon as I pulled [the] baby out, [its] legs were moving, and I could feel the heartbeat in my hand. [But the] [h]eartbeat slowly faded and [the baby] stopped moving.

Definitely the most traumatic thing either of us have been through.

Sarah had no idea what she was about to experience when she took the abortion pill. She had no clue that she would hold her child's dying body in her hands.

Smith embodies everything opposite of the classic movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Mr. Smith brought wholesome ideals to Washington, and Ms. Smith is bringing murder for hire — and we, the American taxpayers, are doing the hiring!

The corporations that enable this kind of horror are being funded with our tax dollars. Unless we act, these tragedies will multiply — funded with hundreds of millions of dollars from you and me.

Sadly, third-trimester abortions are not rare. Over 4,000 are performed each year — even though most of these babies could survive outside the womb. Some are healthy viable children killed for financial or emotional “comfort.”

The abortion pill was meant for early and late-term abortions. Whether early or later term, abortions are more dangerous to the mother than birth. Yet abortion activists lie — and the government funds them.

In Hoffman’s memoir, Intimate Wars: The Life and Times of the Woman Who Brought Abortion from the Back Alley to the Boardroom, she shares the experience of her own abortion:

The idea of abortion was a valve, an opening, a way to breathe. There was no question of whether I would have one. As we crossed the Fifty-Ninth Street Bridge, I held my stomach and said aloud, “Sorry little one, it’s just not time.” My diary entry from that night reads, “For one night I am a mother” (emphasis added).

Hoffman went on to acknowledge the power of “taking life” ... “is the foundation for all the political and personal work necessary to maintain women's reproductive freedom. ... The act of abortion positions women at their most powerful.”

We cannot remain silent. We have an unprecedented opportunity to save lives and end taxpayer funding of abortion. We must speak up and push this bill across the finish line.

Urge Congress with your faxes today to end taxpayer dollars for Planned Parenthood and all abortion clinics immediately.

Babies like Bean deserve to live. Women like Sarah deserve the truth. America deserves better than taxpayer-funded murder.
