The U.S. House Judiciary Committee voted 13-10 to repeal the unconstitutional Freedom of Access to Clinics Act (FACE). This repeal would remove the weapon used to silence pro-life free speech around abortion clinics at a critical moment when mothers and their babies are the most vulnerable.

This committee vote on HR 589, the FACE Act Repeal Act, is a monumental breakthrough to defend peaceful pro-life Americans; however, it sparked furious backlash. Some legislators and abortion lobbyists are raging that this repeal has advanced — and such reactions expose the double standard on violence.

One legislator even labeled pro-life people as “terrorists.” Yet, the same people support the violent riots in Los Angeles.

We must flood Congress with support immediately to keep this bill rolling. Urge Congress to repeal the weaponized FACE Act that prosecutes peaceful pro-life sidewalk counselors. Our window of opportunity is narrow — and the attacks are vicious.

A key part of this debate (that Democrats want to ignore) is that threats, assaults, and violence are already illegal and will stay illegal.

They call peaceful sidewalk counselors “terrorists” but support violent criminal rioters.

During the committee debate, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) said that peaceful pro-life counselors — some who were arrested for sitting quietly and singing hymns — deserve to be treated like domestic terrorists.

“If you think that person should not be in jail, then you're on their side,” Swalwell sneered.

Let that sink in: If you think singing “Amazing Grace” is no reason to send someone to federal prison, Swalwell says you're a terrorist sympathizer.

And on the other hand — this week, Rep. Swalwell publicly encouraged the LA riots following an ICE raid. On Monday, he wrote with twisted, inaccurate facts against ICE, “Until this stops, stay LOUD.”

Being loud includes looting stores, torching vehicles, destroying property, terrorizing people, and injuring law enforcement officers. But Rep. Swalwell’s post is still on X encouraging more violence. According to Swalwell and his allies, that kind of violent destruction deserves sympathy.

But praying kindergarten teachers outside abortion facilities deserve federal prison — for years.

This is an outrageous and dangerous double standard. It reveals their seething hatred for peaceful pro-life Americans and their willingness to weaponize this law to crush us ... and why we must repeal the FACE now.

We've Seen the Abuse of FACE With Our Own Eyes

I have stood in the courtroom representing people targeted under FACE. This law is used by Soros-supported state and federal prosecutors and by abortion clinics.

I’ve witnessed firsthand how STATE prosecutors twisted this FEDERAL law to punish sidewalk counselors under their thumb. I battled against the New York Attorney General – Letitia James!

In addition, George Soros helped get many state prosecutors elected. Local and state level use of the FACE Act by Soros puppets is a huge problem.

But it gets worse.

The FACE Act doesn’t just empower state prosecutors — it also gives abortion clinics the power to sue peaceful counselors and demand fines and gag orders.

That means Planned Parenthood — which receives hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars each year — can use YOUR tax money to launch civil FACE lawsuits against peaceful sidewalk counselors who speak words of compassion, truth, and hope — and we’ve been there to defend them.

This is a direct assault on the First Amendment.

Freedom of speech — especially on matters of life and death — must not be censored by the government. And yet, that’s exactly what ACE does.

It protects one side of the abortion debate, while silencing the other. This isn’t hypothetical. This law can be used by prosecutors to: 

• Send peaceful advocates to prison for 11 years. 

• Impose 25,000-dollar fines. 

• Ban law-abiding citizens from public sidewalks near abortion clinics and enjoin them with court orders designed to silence, punish, and intimidate. 

That is not justice. That is tyranny.

The Judiciary Committee vote is a massive step forward — but unless Congress hears from you right now, this repeal will be stopped dead in its tracks.
