This Will Make America California

Aug 14, 2025

Prominent California Pastor Jack Hibbs just warned his congregation about Assembly Bill 495. He said, “If this bill passes, I'm going to ask you to leave the State of California. You're going to have to pack up and you're gonna have to get out. You gotta get out. You gotta run with your kids. You gotta go.”

This bill would empower nearly any adult — like neighbors, teachers, or even abusers — to legally assume custody of innocent children without parents knowing until it’s too late. An abuser would only need a child’s name and birth date to claim full, immediate legal custody of the child if this bill becomes law. And parents would not even be notified.

While the bill is supposed to be part of the “sanctuary state” policies, AB 495 will allow strangers to take children from parents who refuse to use false pronouns or pay for puberty blockers and mutilating surgeries.

The Equality Act (HR 15 and S 1503) in Congress represents a similar nationwide attack on parental rights — enshrining radical, ideologically driven policies as a priority in our law. Under the Equality Act, parents, pastors, school counselors, and doctors could be sued for refusing to cooperate in the mutilation of minors, all in the name of “nondiscrimination,” and if parents don’t bow, they could lose their children.

Send faxes to tell Congress to VOTE NO on the “EQUALITY ACT.”

The Equality Act seeks to rewrite the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” a special protected class in virtually every area of life: employment, housing, education, public accommodations, federal programs, credit, and even jury service.

Under the Equality Act, even a fleeting disagreement over a child’s declared gender could be considered “discrimination,” opening parents to lawsuits from both government agencies and private activists. The law weaponizes anti-discrimination statutes to punish families, ministries, and faith-based schools that uphold biblical truth.

This radical bill strips existing legal protections for religious freedom by eliminating the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act as a defense. That means parents, pastors, teachers, and doctors would have no legal shield under RFRA when standing against harmful gender procedures or policies that violate their conscience.

This bill forces schools, churches, adoption agencies, businesses, and medical providers to comply with radical gender ideology. Parents who refuse to affirm a minor child’s self-declared “gender identity” could be reported for abuse, lose custody, or face legal action.

Doctors and counselors could be sued, lose their licenses, or be forced out of their professions. Even faith-based adoption agencies could be shut down for placing children only in homes with a married mother and father.

Religious schools could lose accreditation or federal funds for requiring adherence to biblical morality. This isn’t theoretical. States that have adopted similar laws have already used them to force biological boys into girls’ sports, open girls’ locker rooms to men, and mandate that counselors only affirm puberty blockers and mutilating surgeries for minors.

Under the Equality Act, the government’s version of “morality” replaces yoursand dissent becomes punishable. It’s not just “live and let live.” It’s “celebrate and promote — or else.”

This isn’t just an ideological debate — it’s a moral battleground. Today, we have a critical opportunity to push back.
