URGENT: 1.5 Million Children are in Limbo

Aug 21, 2025

Congress is about to vote on the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Buried in the bill is a blank check for unlimited, taxpayer-funded IVF treatments for service members. If it passes, embryos will be created, graded, frozen, and discarded with no oversight — all on your dime.

This would push our tax dollars into one of the most unregulated, ethically fraught industries in America. There are no federal regulations and no accountability for how the embryos are created and or used.

Whatever your view on IVF, taxpayer money should not be a funding option. I will share some shocking realities of IVF below. Urge Congress to eliminate IVF funding from the NDAA.

Unlike most nations, the U.S. has almost NO laws regulating IVF and embryos. These babies/embryos are often treated like property.

While we don’t know the extent of the problem, here is what we do know:

  • Conservative estimates are that more that 1.5 million children are currently in frozen limbo and 1 million more children have been destroyed through IVF.
  • Unlimited embryos can be created each cycle — often 10, 20, or more, which increases the number of “extra” children left over. Advanced nations limit this to three children, and all must be implanted.
  • Embryos can be DNA tested, and these babies are graded like cattle, chosen by traits, and discarded at will.
  • There is no limit on how long embryos can remain frozen, Thaddeus Pierce, the “world’s oldest baby,” was frozen for more than 30 years before being born.
  • When parents stop paying storage fees, these babies become “abandoned embryos.” Clinics kill or experiment on them without any oversight. Often, they are either thawed and killed or donated for experimentation.
  • Scientists can do ANYTHING to these “leftover” children with no restrictions if they are privately funded.
  • China has even announced plans to launch a fertility robot capable of gestating embryos — underscoring the dangerous trajectory of this industry.

We cannot wade into this IVF mess and spend our tax dollars on IVF.

Our team is on Capitol Hill right now warning legislators about this danger.

Some legislative offices have already said they are looking to see if people will make “noise” ON THIS ISSUE. They want to know what you think. If we remain silent, this will pass. That’s why we need your urgent help — today. Please fax Congress right now to demand they strip unlimited taxpayer dollars for IVF funding from the NDAA.

Make your voice heard with your faxes to urge Congress to back away from this spending immediately.

The IVF industry is raking in about 46 BILLION dollars annually. This medical machine profits from creating, freezing, and destroying embryos. If this NDAA provision passes, it will unleash a flood of taxpayer money into a system where human life is reduced to “inventory” and “storage.”

It gets worse: The NDAA language does not set a cap on how many treatments a service member can request. This proposed section creates an annual, unlimited budget through TRICARE, with taxpayers footing the bill. The result? Endless numbers of babies created, graded, frozen, discarded, or experimented on indefinitely — all with dollars out of our pockets.

Life begins at conception. Once created, these tiny human lives deserve dignity, not indefinite storage, destruction, or experiments. America should not be incarcerating embryos in freezers and charging taxpayers to keep their souls on ice.

In this anything-goes environment for embryo creation and storage, we cannot be pouring endless tax dollars and expect it will turn out well. Urge Congress to defeat this provision in the NDAA now.

This vote is imminent. Once this blank check is signed into law, countless children could be created — just to be killed. Please act now. Our team is scrambling to get to as many legislators as possible. We are consistently hearing from staff on Capitol Hill that while their legislator is pro-life, they often don’t know his or her stance on IVF. In many cases, these views are not clearly defined.

This gives us an opportunity — a once-in-a-generation moment — to help define and develop lawmakers’ views in a way that truly supports these babies from the moment of conception.

The most pro-life offices are asking good questions. Our team has provided extensive research. But we need your immediate help to ensure Congress does not give a blank check to the IVF industry and instead begins shaping life-affirming policies for the future.

And if you can, please donate to sustain our fight. Every gift — whether 25, 50, or 100 dollars — helps us deliver critical briefings, mobilize grassroots voices, and fight for life where it matters most. A recurring gift each month helps us stay engaged in these battles long after the headlines fade.
