His face was splashed everywhere — but then something happened
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered that the City of Orlando remove a rainbow crosswalk that the pro-LGBTQ mayor had painted following the Pulse nightclub shooting. The protest is small — but the reaction from LGBTQ activists is revealing. This crosswalk is clear government indoctrination pushing the LGBTQ agenda in everyone's face. It absolutely should be removed. But what is telling is the LGBTQ reaction — demanding that our tax dollars support their radical agenda no matter the cost.
That is exactly what will happen if the “Equality Act” passes. It will only allow pro-LGBTQ propaganda and punish those who refuse to celebrate.
There is one story that the LBGTQ crowd does not want you to hear.
In June 2016, a man named Angel was drunk and high during the tragic Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. When the horrific event was over, doctors found that Angel had been shot six times. Yet, it was in this dark moment of evil that God miraculously protected, redeemed, and restored Angel’s life — and he became world famous after Pulse.
Now, Angel travels widely sharing the story of Jesus’ healing power and invites others who are trapped in the LGBTQ lifestyle to experience freedom in Christ. BUT, if the so-called “Equality Act” passes Congress, Angel will be censored for sharing his own personal testimony and even the pastoral counseling he received will be threatened.
Even if you have already participated in our powerful fax campaign to STOP HR 15, help keep the pressure on our senators to ensure that the government never silences Angel’s voice and many others like his. The “Equality Act” must NEVER become law and silence the truth!
After the Pulse shooting, Angel became the poster child for the LGBTQ agenda. Pro-LGBTQ Mayor Buddy Dyer promoted Angel, and he became world famous. But when Angel changed, Mayor Dyer blasted him. His support turned to anger and hatred.
Angel Colon’s testimony will make you cry, as it did me when I interviewed him for our Freedom Alive! TV program. After Angel was shot five times, the shooter came back. Angel had been trying to comfort a woman beside him, holding her hand, trying to calm her down. But the shooter returned and shot them both once more. Her body jumped from the floor from the impact of the bullet. Her eyes closed, and she released Angel’s hand. Then the shooter turned to him. Angel described that terrible experience:
I was petrified knowing I was next. I heard the shooter behind me, gauging his next move. That's when I asked the Lord for forgiveness, to forgive me for failing Him, for turning my back on Him. I wanted to be at peace with God, but at that moment, my prayer changed to prophecy.
I prophetically claimed my life for the Lord. I told Him I would not leave that building dead, that I had a purpose, and He would fulfill all the promises He made over my life. I knew in that moment that I was chosen, and God had something big for me.
I promised Him I would worship Him for the rest of my days. The very moment I said, "amen," I felt the bullet. Heat swelled through my abdomen, and I was certain I was dead. But when I opened my eyes, I knew the Lord spared me.
The sixth bullet ripped through Angel’s flesh, causing his body to bounce up from the floor. The shooter moved on and eventually a police officer asked if anyone in the club was alive. Angel was able to raise his hand. With a broken femur and bleeding to death, he was dragged over broken glass that ripped open his body even further.
Angel was told he had been a mere five minutes from death. If he hadn't received urgent medical care, he would have died that day and his voice would have been silenced. But instead, he is passionately living his life for the Lord and reaching out with a message of redemption and hope for those considering, or already in, an LGBTQ lifestyle!
Six bullets couldn’t stop Angel from speaking the truth in love to others trapped in this behavior. But now HR 15 threatens his incredible ministry. This bill would have him remain silent or lose everything. HR 15 would try to do what six bullets couldn’t — silence Angel.
Join us in standing up for people like Angel whom God has freed from his past. Make sure that everyone has the freedom to share the gospel and what God has done in their lives. Tell Congress to VOTE NO on the "EQUALITY ACT."
