Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) complained that the proposed continuing resolution (CR) “has not one iota of Democratic input. That is never how we’ve done this before,” Schumer claimed.

But that’s not true. This CR is the same clean budget CR that Democrats already passed, and not just once or twice. In fact, Democrats have voted for this same CR 13 times, according to press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Until now.

What changed is that the radical base of the Democrats is spoiling for a fight. “This is purely and simply hostage taking,” warned Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD). Sadly, the American voters are the ones being held hostage and the ones asked to fork over the ransom money.

Meanwhile, Democrats are spreading lies and hoping you won’t notice — or hold them accountable for it. Not a single Democrat voted for the clean CR yesterday, when about 10 had supported this language more than a dozen times previously.

Republicans are facing pressure to cave to the Democrats, who have a long wish list that includes funding for abortion. Tell Congress — no compromise, no abortion funding, no shutdown.

You might think that we fought and won defunding of abortion. We did.  However, through the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare), the abortion cartel opened a path for tax dollars to pay for abortions.

In states that allow it, ACA exchange plans may include abortion while still receiving federal premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions using an accounting device often called an “abortion surcharge.” The Biden administration later expanded ACA subsidies, broadening the reach of these taxpayer-supported plans.

This means that Democrats are demanding that our tax dollars go to funding that continues to pay for abortions in (you guessed it) blue states!

And this is just one of many things that Democrats are pushing in their version of the budget.

Their version adds an additional 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS to the budget (an extra 30 BILLION DOLLARS per state). And part of that will go into the Obamacare payment pots covering abortions.

We cannot allow lies to cripple our nation. Make your voice heard on Capitol Hill to tell Republicans to stand strong and fight abortion funding.

There is enormous pressure on Republicans to cave and capitulate to the demands of the Democrats, but doing so creates a huge problem.

If we let Washington radicals sneak an abortion subsidy expansion into a shutdown scramble, we will be paying for years — with deeper debt and a wider pipeline of subsidized plans that cover abortion, plus embryo-destructive practices normalized by federal benefits.
