Last night, Senate Democrats filibustered the continuing resolution (CR) — again — extending this ”Schumer Shutdown” (or “Shakedown”) for their extreme agenda. They voted not once, but TWICE. Democrats are blocking Republicans from getting the 60 votes necessary to reopen our government.

And this CR is only to fund the government for seven weeks while the members debate the real funding bill. Democrats are placing illegals and abortion above the interest of the American people.

This shutdown is NOT the fault of Republicans. The CR is clean, meaning it does not contain ANY partisan provision. The U.S. House passed a clean CR. But Schumer and AOC want to undo the Big Beautiful Bill and include funding for illegal aliens and abortion.

Members of Congress are feeling the heat. Tell them not to bow to the extreme demands of Schumer and AOC.

It should be a no-brainer to require able-bodied Americans to work instead of sitting around collecting Medicaid benefits because they didn’t feel like getting off their couch.

Nor should we be rewarding illegal aliens with free health care while they are pending “review” for months in our judicial system.

And we definitely should not be paying our hard-earned tax dollars into an insurance kitty that funds abortions.

Yet Democrats are demanding we do all three … and much more!

+ + A tale of two mothers. . .

One young American mom told us she was tutoring English with a baby on her hip (or in a car seat at the edge of the desk) to cover her deductible after childbirth. Her job was helping translate and explain documents for an international student whose family had every dollar of every medical bill of their childbirth covered; this foreign family paid nothing. In contrast, even with private insurance, this American citizen paid thousands of dollars of cash out of her own pocket.

The Big Beautiful Bill passed by Congress reserves Medicaid for U.S. citizens. But Schumer and AOC want to fund illegals and abortion, and they want to fund DEI in foreign countries. This is insane and yet it is what is behind the Democrats who are responsible for shutting down the government.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) was asked if Democrats want health care for people here illegally, to which she said her party wants “health care for everybody” and, by her definition, everybody includes illegal aliens.

One reported asked: “Do Democrats want to prioritize the health care of illegal aliens over a government shutdown, because ... American workers will be furloughed?”

“Excuse me. Stop it right there,” Waters interjected. “You don’t need to ask that question.”
