The Schumer Shakedown is wasting an estimated 89.3 million dollars every hour

Radicals’ refusal to support a clean budget funding bill is harming everyone. The government shutdown is negatively impacting our economy by an estimated 15 billion dollars every week.

To put that 15 billion in perspective, it amounts to approximately 90 MILLION DOLLARS EVERY HOUR THE SHUTDOWN CONTINUES.

Republicans offered Democrats “seven more weeks while we negotiate a new one,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said. “And to our surprise, the Democrats said, ‘No we will not vote to do that. In fact, we’ll shut down government unless you agree to give us 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS and we’ll tell you how to spend it.’”

The pressure on Congress is even more intense now that the shutdown has been on for more than a month. Legislators need to hear from you. Even if you have faxed before, let them know just how serious you are: Fax again and reach as many legislators as possible. Urge them to stand firm against these demands.

But the cost isn’t measured on a balance sheet. It’s the families who depend on their paychecks — border agents, enlisted military, TSA screeners, air traffic controllers, and more.

Housing costs and utilities must still be paid, and the grocery bills continue.

Democrats care more for illegals than citizens — seeking to spend nearly 200 billion "on healthcare for illegal immigrants and other non-citizens over the next decade," according to the White House. They care more about abortion and mutilating “transgender” surgeries than air traffic controllers and the security of planes in our skies.

Here’s the truth: Republicans want to reopen the government while negotiating a budget. Senate Democrats keep using the 60-vote choke point to block short-term funding and press for a one-sided deal centered on Obamacare subsidies. The longer this shakedown drags on, the louder the Beltway chorus gets: “Give it up already!” That is exactly when principled leaders must stand firm.

But the media parrots Schumer’s talking points — hoping you won’t notice.

Prove them wrong. Reach out to Congress and let them know that you see through the lies and stand for truth.

While Democrats are blowing up our economy, our tax dollars are still flowing into plans covering abortions on Obamacare exchange plans through various loopholes.

Recently, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) filed a bill to close those loopholes — explicitly barring ACA plans from covering abortion and the trans nonsense (puberty blockers, hormones, and mutilating surgeries).

National Marist polling shows 57% oppose taxpayer funding for abortion — and nearly three-quarters oppose funding abortion overseas. On this, the public stands for life and fiscal sanity.

But if we do not tell Congress that we strongly oppose the 1.5 trillion dollars that the Democrats are seeking to allocate to these radical pork projects, the pressure from Democrats, media, and special interest groups could cause some members to give in.

This is where you come in. Professional activists and paid operatives are pounding Capitol Hill. They are loud and relentless. If members only hear from them and not from you, the Schumer Shakedown will succeed.
