Special interest groups in Washington are using the shutdown to benefit giant insurance corporations.

In 2010, when Obamacare was launched, UnitedHealth Group was ranked No. 22 on the Fortune 500. By 2025, it climbed to the No. 3 ranking. Over roughly the same period, its share price went from about 35 dollars in 2010 to a peak above 630 dollars in late 2024. This is a gain of about 1,700% increase in the value of its stock.

At the same time, the company’s CEO is paid a 1-million-dollar salary. Then he was given a bonus of 60 million dollars if the company grows under his watch and he stays for three years.

UnitedHealth was so profitable it beat out Apple, the Google conglomerate, Disney, Target, and all gas, bank, and credit card providers in America.

The Schumer Shakedown is more about funding “free” health care for illegals, paying for abortions, and reversing all the international DEI and LGBTQ grants ended by DOGE and the One Big Beautiful Bill.
