Counseling bans are killing people
We discovered a disturbing correlation. Cities and states that banned Christian change counseling have seen a rise in gender-confused individuals spiraling into violence — including some who committed mass shootings or attempted political assassinations.
And now Congress wants to take these dangerous bans and force them nationwide by legislation that denigrates and discourages change counseling through the so-called Equality Act.
Initially, the FBI hid key information about Thomas Crooks. Now we know why. It turns out he was a gender-confused “furry” who attempted to assassinate President Trump. According to multiple sources, Crooks was immersed in the LGBTQ subculture that rejects biological reality.
But it isn’t just Crooks. We’ll share below a concerning pattern among shooters that has emerged in recent years — and almost every single one of these individuals lived in areas where Christian counseling was banned.
We must stop HR 15 before it destroys more innocent lives and criminalizes Christianity. Urge Congress to do everything in their power to fight HR 15.
This is a Pattern We Cannot Ignore
Yet Congress is on the brink of moving a bill that was motivated by a desire to implement these same counseling bans on all 50 states through the Equality Act. The preamble of this bill lists change counseling as the very thing it is trying to “fix.” HR 15 is trying to take away the one thing that can help these confused people! And now a razor-thin margin in the U.S. House is getting even smaller.
When cities and states ban Christian counseling, they leave confused, hurting people with no path to healing. Instead, these bans push them deeper into the very ideologies fueling their confusion. Consider just a few cases from recent years, all of which occurred in cities or states where counseling was banned:
2018 — Aberdeen, MD: Snochia Mosely, a biological female identifying as male, murdered three co-workers.
2019 — Highlands Ranch, CO: A student identifying as “trans” killed one classmate and wounded six more.
2022 — Colorado Springs, CO: Anderson Aldrich, identifying as “non-binary,” murdered five and injured 25 in a nightclub.
2022 — Washington, D.C.: Nicholas Roske, identifying as female, attempted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
2023 — Philadelphia, PA: Kimbrady Carriker, frequently presenting as female, shot and killed five.
2024 — Butler, PA: A gender-confused “furry,” Thomas Crooks, attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump.
2025 — Minnesota: A teenage boy, identifying as a girl, murdered two classmates.
2025 — Utah: Tyler Robinson, another gender-confused “furry,” assassinated Charlie Kirk.
These tragedies have one thing in common: Every one of these shooters lived under counseling bans. Christian counseling has been repeatedly PROVEN to heal gender dysphoria. Had these unlawful bans not been in place, the shooters, as well as their victims, might have been saved.
The Equality Act denigrates this same life-saving counseling and opens the door to make it illegal everywhere. Instantly, it would:
Force schools, churches, ministries, and charities to adopt LGBTQ ideology and employees.
Erase religious freedom protections.
Expand public accommodation laws to punish even the hint of dissent.
This bill is not about “equality.” It is about erasing truth and enslaving people in the gender-ideology abyss.
The Equality Act Will Nationalize Deadly Policies
The Equality Act will set the stage to make counseling bans the law of the land. Parents will lose their rights. Ministries will be targeted. Schools will be required to affirm gender confusion. And children struggling with identity or trauma will be forbidden from receiving help.
This is happening now — and Congress wants to codify it.
We cannot allow Washington to expand these destructive policies.
Your voice in Congress is the only force strong enough to stop this.
