Obamacare battle frenzy could go either way

Just hours after the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) vote, Republicans in the Senate defeated a Democrat attempt to continue the subsidies and are working to pass an alternative to Obamacare. Capitol Hill is buzzing with competing plans — but only one plan protects life, blocks abortion spending, and gives control back to the American people.

For the first time in years, Republicans are rallying around a plan that restores health freedom by empowering individuals with Health Savings Accounts — HSAs that cannot be used for abortion or transgender drugs or procedures.

This is the most meaningful alternative to Obamacare in over a decade.

Democrats are now running ads in the districts of four Republican senators they think are weak in the next election.

The Republican-backed framework pushes for a direct investment in individuals instead of massive hospital conglomerates. Instead of bureaucrats making decisions for you, families would receive Health Savings Accounts (HSA) deposits to take charge of their own health care.

That means real choice. Real price transparency. Real accountability. Real freedom.

And Republicans are pressing for broader reforms — pressuring major food companies to remove harmful dyes and preservatives that are flooding our grocery aisles. Congress is finally confronting a system where government regulations have unintentionally incentivized toxic ingredients in foods, while the very same government claims to “care” about public health.

Meanwhile, our medical system is cracking under the weight of misaligned incentives. In his podcast, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) explained that America does have enough doctors, but the system financially rewards specialty practices so heavily that many physicians are abandoning primary care. This leaves everyday Americans stuck in the bottleneck — the very doorway into the health care system.

But the problems go deeper. Crenshaw revealed that while Washington claims to be “for the little guy,” the government has been pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into gigantic health care groups that are doubling and tripling their wealth — while patients wait longer, pay more, and get less.

The Republican plan flips this model upside down—putting money directly into your HSA instead of Washington’s pockets. It is far more efficient, far more ethical, and far more protective of life. Tell Congress to provide an alternative to the Obamacare insurance companies that are making obscene profits while individual Americans are struggling to make ends meet.

Medicaid is already straining taxpayers. But under Obamacare, the cost explosion is even worse. To put it plainly: For procedures that cost Medicaid 6 dollars, the Obamacare rate is often 10 dollars — for the exact same service. This system does not help patients. It rewards administrative giants who profit from dysfunction.

We can stop more money from flowing into a broken system — and redirect it into HSAs that protect your conscience, your family, and your freedom.

We must show Congress that America wants real reform — not more waste, not more bureaucracy, not more abortion funding.
