ALERT: Major Development and Critical Vote

They’re Back Pushing Obamacare with Three Fewer Republicans

An Obamacare vote is scheduled for today. House Democrats are staging an end run around Republican leadership to force through a three-year expansion of failed Obamacare — all at your expense. This maneuver is designed to bypass real debate and lock taxpayers into tens of billions of dollars in new spending tied to a failed system.

And the margin between Republicans and Democrats just got thinner. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) resigned January 3. Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) died unexpectedly this week, and Rep. Jim Baird (R-IN) is recovering from a serious car accident. Meanwhile, President Trump is pushing Republicans to “be a little flexible” on the Hyde Amendment, meaning don’t worry about tax dollars paying for abortions! Unbelievable!

This is an urgent moment to demand abortion-free spending and better alternatives to Obamacare. The most infuriating part: There were better options, but Congress ignored them. Hold Congress accountable today with your faxes urging them to end this monstrosity.

Here’s what a three-year Obamacare expansion actually does:

First, it uses so-called COVID credits for three years at a cost of more than 90 BILLION dollars. The money flows directly from the U.S. Treasury to insurance companies, locking in pandemic-era spending from during COVID.

Second, it expands fraud that the federal government already admits exists. Watchdog agencies have documented tens of billions of dollars in improper Obamacare payments tied to these credits — phantom enrollees, false eligibility, even policies issued using Social Security numbers assigned to dead people. Zero-dollar plans remove accountability entirely, creating a fraud magnet while taxpayers are forced to cover the losses.

Third, Obamacare subsidies can be used for health plans that cover elective abortions and medical mutilation. Expanding the subsidies expands taxpayer funding for these procedures.

Fourth, it does not fix rising health care costs. The credits mask the true price of insurance while families are trapped in narrow networks and bureaucratic complexity. Subsidies don’t solve the problem.

And this is not new. Over the last decade, taxpayers have already spent roughly 1.5 TRILLION dollars on Obamacare. That’s the equivalent of burning through 1 million dollars every day — stretching back to the time of Abraham in Scripture. Yet costs keep rising. Care keeps narrowing. Freedom keeps shrinking.

There were better options on the table — real reforms that lower premiums, empower patients, promote competition, and reduce spending. Congress chose to ignore them.

Liberty Counsel Action is raising the alarm because what happens today matters tomorrow. Once Washington normalizes this level of spending and control — for three years — it becomes the starting point for the next expansion and the one after that, and so on.

That’s why we urgently need your voice right now. Fax Congress and demand they oppose this Obamacare expansion. Tell them Americans want solutions — not bureaucratic bailouts and backroom end runs.

We are up against well-funded insurance giants. That’s why we need your prayers and support. With your help, we can continue this fight to mobilize citizens, educate lawmakers, and defend life and liberty. Give a recurring monthly gift or a single gift today.

Your action today can stop bad policy before it becomes entrenched. Together, we can expose the truth, confront the spending machine, and push for reforms that help families — not special-interest insurance companies.
