This was a disaster from the beginning

Today, Liberty Counsel Action joined hundreds of thousands in Washington for the March for Life. Our vice president of governmental affairs, Jonathan M. Alexandre, Esq., is on the main stage for the march. This is a day of celebration for life — and it is also a moment to double down on our commitment to protect it.

While Americans march, pray, and remember the innocent lives lost, members of Congress are pushing to expand Obamacare — forcing taxpayers to funded abortions, waste, and fraud through 2029. This law was disastrous from the beginning. It passed only because its architects relied on confusion, deception, and deliberate concealment.

Below, we’ll expose the shocking truth behind Obamacare — and why we need to win this fight! Sadly, the House already caved with 17 Republicans voting to expand these funds to abortions. Now the pressure is on the Senate. Unless they hear from you, they may cave too.

Obamacare did NOT pass because it was cheaper or more effective than private insurance. It passed because voters were sold a lie. One of the chief paid advisers behind Obamacare admitted that the law was passed because of an intentional “lack of transparency.”

He called it “the stupidity of the American voter or whatever.” Jonathan Gruber said, “It's a very clever — you know — basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter.”

For his “consulting,” the federal government paid him 6 million dollars ... to essentially cook the books on Obamacare and hide its true costs.

Gruber went on to say if Americans understood how healthy people would be forced to pay while others benefited — it never would have passed.

“The only way we could take it on was first by mislabeling it.” Gruber said. “This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Right on cue, several congressional leaders highlighted Gruber’s “work” to help the CBO understand the costs associated with Obamacare.

Gruber said that the “lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And over time, it's applied to more and more health insurance plans.”

Now we are paying a heavy price for these lies.

Premiums are crippling. Choices are shrinking. Fraud and waste are rampant. Millions of fake accounts are wasting tens of billions of our tax dollars. This system is beyond broken — exactly as its architects knew it would be. But Democrats want Republicans to cave and throw 90 BILLION dollars at this disaster.

Tell the Senate NOT to cave to this disaster.

Remember Nancy Pelosi’s now-infamous remark — “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” That wasn’t a Freudian slip.

But Democrats knew if they spoke truth, it would fail. The bill was written to hide its true costs from the Congressional Budget Office and from you.

We must fight back. Send faxes to the Senate and demand they reject Obamacare expansion and abortion funding.

Yesterday, our team helped lay thousands of flowers on the steps of the United States Supreme Court — one flower for each child killed by abortion every day. Abortion has claimed more than 63 million lives. This annual remembrance is beautiful, devastating, and necessary. It forces our leaders to confront the deadly weight of abortion and the innocent blood shed.

This battle is far from over. Already, 17 Republicans in the House caved when they should have stood strong. The pressure in Congress to surrender on abortion is immense.
