These developments provide needed momentum

The White House invited our team to a meeting on January 22, announcing a series of major pro-life policies and actions — all of which were issues that we advanced.

“Effective immediately,” funds from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) “will no longer be used to support research involving human fetal tissue from elective abortions.”

This major announcement is just the beginning. Medicaid funding has been cut off from large abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. The FDA has begun the process of reexamining the abortion pill mifepristone.

This, and much more that I will mention below, provides needed momentum to stop the expansion of Obamacare and abortion funding. Even as these victories are celebrated at the White House, potential betrayal is brewing in the U.S. Senate. Behind closed doors, senators are weighing whether to expand Obamacare subsidies once again — subsidies that force taxpayers to fund abortions.

If they do not hear from you now, the Senate could cave at any moment. Fax Congress and demand an end to the Obamacare expansion and abortion funding.

Under President Trump’s leadership, the federal government has taken concrete steps to restore pro-life policies. Taxpayer dollars are no longer being used to fund research on aborted human fetal tissue. The Mexico City Policy now blocks tens of billions in foreign aid from supporting abortion and gender ideology. The Hyde Amendment is being enforced. The VA is not performing abortions. Medicaid is not going to large abortion clinics.

These are structural protections for life.

And yet, the Senate is being pressured to expand Obamacare subsidies — subsidies that funnel massive taxpayer funds into insurance plans that include abortion. If senators cave, they will reverse course, undermine these victories, and devalue the very lives these policies were meant to protect.

This would not be a small concession. It would be a sweeping surrender.

Obamacare subsidies already cost taxpayers roughly 138 billion dollars a year. This amount will climb even higher as enrollment and subsidies grow. Much of this spending is financed directly through general federal revenue — your income and payroll taxes. It comes straight from American families.

And the system is riddled with perverse incentives. Subsidy cliffs punish work. Families are encouraged to earn less to keep government benefits. Income is underreported. Subsidies are issued without adequate verification. Billions flow out the door with little accountability — while abortion providers quietly benefit from taxpayer-backed plans.

This is not compassion. It is coercion, waste, and moral blindness.

Tell the Senate to stand firm. Tell them not to undo what has just been won.

We cannot watch this battle from the sidelines. In addition to fighting for life, we are fighting for the souls of hundreds of people on Capitol Hill.
