You can’t make this up
After a massive snowstorm covered New York City, socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani called for help to shovel snow. Mamdani requires applicants to present two passport-quality photos, two valid government-issued IDs, and a Social Security card — five IDs in total. And this is just to shovel snow as an emergency hourly employee. It's a rigorous process designed to ensure only Americans are shoveling snow.
But if you want to vote on the other hand ... NO ID IS REQUIRED.
No photos, no driver’s license, no social security card, and not even an ID to register to vote. You can simply show a paycheck, utility bill, or a bank statement to register. If that is too much to ask, a person can sign a form claiming that they are “eligible to vote” with no documentation. This hypocrisy was highlighted by President Trump in his State of the Union speech on Tuesday.
At that point, the election officials will try to verify that the form matches the name of a potential voter. If they can, then that voter registration is verified. Poll workers are told NOT to ask for a photo ID, unless none of the forms/documents match.
In a nation where 71% of Democrats and 95% of Republicans want photo ID to vote, why is the SAVE America Act not passed in the Senate? This was the question that President Trump asked. Stand with Trump and urge the Senate to act NOW to support the SAVE America Act.
The hypocrisy of the NYC mayor is rich. The absence of voter ID invites fraud and chaos.
But it gets even worse. The state of New York is launching “Automatic Voter Registration,” and the first federal election it may impact is the 2026 midterms. It was signed into law in 2020 but delayed by improper implementation due to a faulty rollout. Now, this program kicks in full force just in time for the federal midterm elections.
Anyone interacting with the DMV, welfare offices, social services, or even the state university, SUNY, gets enrolled to vote unless they opt out.
Worse yet, Senator Michael Gianaris, a Democrat from Queens, is pushing a bill to eliminate any opt-out box at the point of service. Instead, people — including illegal immigrants — would be automatically registered, notified by mail later, and forced to proactively unregister.
This opens the floodgates for errors and exploitation. Remember that undercover video from NY involving a green card holder who tried to register to vote? Election officials did nothing to stop him, and in fact promised him that they wouldn't report him if he did register.
This isn't oversight; it's orchestrated negligence that is threatening the very fabric of our republic. The SAVE America Act would require proof of citizenship to register, a photo ID to vote, and limit mail-in ballots. The Senate has yet to push this bill forward. Tell them to pass the SAVE America Act now.
But here's the gut-wrenching part: Illegal aliens can enroll in SUNY classes, and estimates show over 31,000 undocumented students across New York higher education. More than 1,500 could be at the state university, SUNY, alone at any one time. This law could sweep all of them onto voter rolls, diluting your sacred vote with those who have no legal right to participate.
Seven Republican House members hail from New York, which is ground zero for these shenanigans. However, the SAVE America Act languishes in the Senate after 10+ months. Polls show that 95% of Republicans want photo ID requirements to vote, and 83% of all Americans agree. This isn't partisan — it's patriotic.
But shockingly, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) opposes voter ID. Sen. Thom Tillis hasn't voiced support, and Sen. Mitch McConnell, chairing the key committee, isn't a co-sponsor and hasn't advanced it.
Your voice today can help fight for what's right. The midterms could hinge on this: your voice heard in the halls of Congress now. Even if you've faxed before, fax again now — your action could tip the scales.
Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that "righteousness exalts a nation.” The Senate’s vote on the SAVE America Act could happen at any moment — but we might not have the votes to pass it unless you demand action.
Five forms of ID to shovel snow, but none to choose our nation's future! In New York, where automatic registration now auto-enrolls through universities teeming with undocumented students, the risk is real. Senator Gianaris's push to force registration first and opt-out later is a recipe for disaster.
