We have been actively involved in opposing state and local laws that ban counselors from helping minors who are seeking to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions, behaviors, and gender confusion.

Our work has connected us with incredible, highly qualified professionals, counselors, and people who have experienced freedom from these unwanted attractions, behaviors, and confusion.

But the new H.Res. 1058 would discourage ALL counsel for ALL ages from both licensed and unlicensed counselors (which even includes pastors). Radicals are seeking to silence the church’s voice. We cannot allow this to happen!

If H.Res. 1058 passes, more than a decade of work and recent victories will be completely erased. In addition, there will be a legal basis for endless litigation against every person and institution of genuine faith in an effort to bankrupt them all.

What especially concerns me right now is that H.Res. 1058 is not taking a normal path. Congressional Democrats are trying to pull a fast one to circumvent the system. Our staff is on high alert to bring you updates on their next steps. With each passing day, they are more panicked to appease the anti-religious, Marxist parts of their party.

H.Res. 1058 is critical to their agenda! That is why they are looking for ways to sneak this through. We are working on both sides of Congress to alert legislators to the dangers of H.Res. 1058. We can’t do this alone; we need your help to send a strong message to Congress: STOP H.Res. 1058 from passing and silencing faith and freedom in America.

This bill will harm parents and children. It will fundamentally damage the parent-child relationship in multiple ways.

First, the intent of the so-called “Transgender Bill of Rights” is to make abortion a federal right on demand through all nine months until birth. It will discourage every state law — including parental notification and informed consent. Parents will have no say, nor will religious hospitals, health care workers, or pharmacists. It pushes insurance companies to include coverage. It subjects any person, church, or organization that refuses to comply to a lawsuit from the U.S. Attorney General’s office.

Second, if a child becomes confused by propaganda at school and believes a person can choose their sex like they choose their clothes, there will be no one to help this child. The child can demand hormone-blocking drugs, opposite-sex hormones, and even surgery to remove healthy body parts, and no one can stop this insanity. If the parents object, their child could be removed from the home. I am not exaggerating — this has already happened BEFORE the introduction of H.Res. 1058.

Third, if the child asks for help to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions, behaviors, or gender confusion, there will be no one to help. H.Res. 1058 discourages any such counsel to help overcome these unwanted attractions, behaviors, or confusion. In fact, this bill could lead to making all such counsel illegal for ALL AGES and FOR ANY COUNSELOR — licensed and unlicensed, and even pastoral counseling.

Lifesaving counsel is absolutely critical. At age 5, David was sexually molested by a 16-year-old neighbor boy. David began to hate his maleness, and during puberty, that self-hate turned into sexual attraction to boys. He became clinically depressed and was on the verge of ending it all when he found a counselor to help him. Today, David experiences freedom.

Without such counsel and support, Ken, another person who benefited from this same kind of counseling, testified under oath, “I probably would have killed myself.” But this counseling is EXACTLY what H.Res. 1058 wants to silence!

Walt Heyer struggled with gender confusion as a result of a family member sexually abusing him as a boy, combined with his grandmother’s decision to secretly clothe him as a girl. Unable to find a counselor to address his underlying issues, he took opposite-sex hormones and underwent surgery. After several years, he regretted his decision and became severely depressed — until he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. He received lifesaving counsel, and now he helps people who are like he once was.
