They demand celebration — no longer just silence  

The misnamed “Equality Act” will coerce EVERYONE to promote both LGBTQ ideology and abortion. This bill will force everyone to comply with its radical demands.

This bill will apply to every church, school, medical provider, pastor, teacher, landlord, business, employee, and parent — the list is endless. It will apply to anyone providing a “good, service or program.”

It will force you to celebrate and promote LGBTQ ideology — and abortion on demand through all nine months.

It will even apply to an occasional sale online and to every website. There will be no escape — this bill applies to YOU.

I’ll share one legislator’s shocking comment below. Radicals are desperate for the control this bill will give them, but we can block it. Rush your urgent faxes to Congress to stop the “Equality Act.”

During one intense House floor debate on the “Equality Act,” Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) read Deuteronomy 22:5: ”A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.”

Rep. Steube explained: “Now, this verse isn’t concerned about clothing styles but with people determining their own sexual identities.” To that, then-House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) shot back, “...God’s will is no concern of this Congress.” What a shameful and shocking statement! How far our nation has fallen!

You cannot run or hide from the so-called “Equality Act” if it passes. You cannot go underground to get away from it. Locking your doors (or becoming a hermit in your home) won’t protect you. If you have a website or profile online, sell or shop online, or merely send out emails, this bill still applies to YOU, even inside your castle!

Schoolteachers will not be able to refer to students by their biological gender pronouns. Churches, schools (indeed — any place) will be unable to keep boys or men out of girls’ or women’s locker rooms, dormitories, showers, or off their sports teams. On overnight trips, with no notice, young girls could be forced to room with young biological boys, and no one will be able to stop it.

Even homeschooling will not protect young children against this bill’s mandates because curriculum providers will have to follow its bidding.

“Sensitivity training” (forced compliance) will become commonplace. Objectors will be punished.

Liberty Counsel Action would be without a proper defense against this bill. We could lose our voice, our nonprofit status, and our impact on our nation. Our website — even these emails — will be affected by the “Equality Act.”

Churches have always enjoyed the highest level of freedom in America.

Until now.

The “Equality Act” will strip churches of protections of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA)! There can be zero “religious freedom” claim or defense against abortion or LGBT and Q behaviors. Faith-based hospitals will be forced to abort children and mutilate the bodies of healthy men and women who are gender confused, and prescribe drugs to do the same.

Shockingly, this bill allows lawsuits even if the person is not actually practicing LGBTQ behaviors. They can file a discrimination charge against your “belief” or “perceptions.” Even if they are not LGBTQ, anyone can allege they were discriminated against because you thought they associated with it in the past with someone who is LGBTQ. Section 2(a)(12) says people can sue based on "perceptions or beliefs.” It applies to “actual or perceived” — in other words, it can apply to real and imaginary situations. And it is not limited to a “physical facility or place.”

So, people who DO NOT identify as LGBTQ can still use this bill to drag churches, organizations, or you through endless litigation. The process itself is the punishment.

This bill explicitly states that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) shall not provide a claim or a defense. No religious freedom here!

This bill strips places of worship — and other people and organizations — of a key federal religious freedom defense.

They won under RFRA. They would have a harder time under the “Equality Act.”

This bill will isolate people of faith from their communities and remove opportunities to share their beliefs. It will provide massive punishments for people who have the courage to stand up. Imagine “United States of America v. [Your Name, Your Church or School].”

This bill turns people of faith into violators of federal law.
