President to announce “really big news” about US elections
Tonight at 9 p.m. ET, the lights of the White House will burn against the darkening sky as President Donald Trump steps before the American people to deliver what may be one of the most consequential addresses of his presidency.
This is not a routine press conference or a campaign rally. Instead, Trump plans to discuss newly declassified intelligence concerning foreign plans to interfere in the 2020 presidential election, potential cyber intrusions, and vulnerabilities within America’s voting systems as he calls for Congress to pass the SAVE America Act.
Silence does not restore confidence. Secrecy does not secure an election. And vulnerabilities do not disappear merely because Washington refuses to discuss them.
These problems will only be addressed when we demand a solution. Help Trump with his goal to restore election integrity. Pressure Congress with your faxes to support the SAVE America Act.
This may be the moment the American people finally learn more about what happened in the 2020 election, what their own government discovered, and what might have remained hidden inside classified files for decades without Trump’s leadership.
The president does not plan to address these election concerns alone. He is expected to be joined by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. It is a who’s who of America’s national security leadership, all gathering for tonight’s announcement.
What the president reveals tonight could resolve grave questions:
What did foreign government(s) attempt to do in 2020?
What weaknesses have American intelligence agencies identified?
Which officials knew about those threats?
What safeguards need to be put in place to prevent foreign adversaries from exploiting those vulnerabilities again?
And why has the American public heard so little about the evidence seized from Fulton County, Georgia?
Months have passed since federal investigators removed approximately 600 boxes of ballots and other 2020 election materials from the Fulton County election facility. Federal authorities also reportedly sought information concerning election workers and expanded their inquiries into other jurisdictions.
Yet we, the American people, remain largely in the dark.
Americans asking questions are not the villains in this story. We are trying to protect the sacred rights entrusted to us — including the power to choose our leaders and determine the future direction of our nation.
But we face a system that has become difficult to observe, harder to question, and nearly impossible to challenge without being dragged through the mud.
Congress has the power to change that.
The SAVE America Act would simply:
Require documentary proof of United States citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.
Require voters to present qualifying photo identification when casting a federal ballot.
Establish safeguards for military voters, disabled voters, religious objectors, and others with legitimate documentation challenges.
Require states to identify and remove noncitizens from federal voter-registration lists.
Increase penalties for officials who knowingly register ineligible noncitizens.
Strengthen election-security standards before foreign adversaries or political operatives can exploit existing weaknesses.
This is President Trump’s top legislative priority — and with enough pressure, we can make it Congress’ top priority as well. Send your urgent faxes right now. Tell Congress to act to protect our elections.
The House has already passed election-integrity legislation only to watch it, so far, die in the Senate.
But there is another way.
House leaders are considering adding key SAVE America Act provisions to a reconciliation package. Because reconciliation legislation can move through the Senate without the usual 60-vote threshold, this may be the strongest opportunity Congress has to place meaningful election protections on President Trump’s desk.
But there is talk that legislators will simply sidestep this golden opportunity and cave to Democrats. That’s why we must make our voice heard!
Tonight, President Trump may expose weaknesses that foreign governments hoped to exploit. Tomorrow, Washington will begin deciding whether to confront those weaknesses — or bury them beneath another mountain of excuses and distractions.
Congressional leaders will refuse to act unless we demand it. They must hear from you.
The stage is set. The documents are being revealed. The nation will be watching. Now Congress must choose whether it will defend the vote — or leave America’s election system vulnerable to the next attack.
