Chilling words spoken to a Christian minister by the mayor

“Although you live here, I want you to know, as mayor, you are not welcome here,” said Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud.

Speaking at the Dearborn City Hall, Christian minister Edward “Ted” Barham told local government officials he objected to honorary street signs promoting Osama Siblani, because Siblani had repeatedly made statements praising Islamic terrorists and glorifying armed violence.

Ted spoke calmly. He identified himself as a Christian. And he ended with the words of Jesus Christ: “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

Mayor Hammoud railed against the minister, calling him a “bigot,” a “racist” and an “Islamophobe.” “You are not welcome here,” Hammoud said.

This is a hint of what Sharia law would look like. Dearborn, Michigan, provides a current example of what will come to America IF we remain silent. Send your urgent faxes to Congress to support two bills (H.R. 5722 and S. 3009) that will block Sharia from happening in the U.S.

The U.S. Constitution has a radically different foundation than Islamic Sharia. The First Amendment protects the right to worship, to change religions, to reject religion, to criticize religious beliefs, to speak your convictions publicly, and much more.

However, enforcement of Sharia turns that principle on its head. Sharia rules control civil life; speaking ill of Muhammad can result in death; and women are property.

These two systems are on a collision course.

• The Constitution says: You are free to choose your faith. Sharia can say: Leaving the faith is punishable by death.

• The Constitution says: You may criticize religion. Sharia says: Criticism is a crime.

• The Constitution promises equal protection under the law. Under Sharia, equal protection does not exist.

• The Constitution places civil authority in laws enacted under a government accountable to the people. A Sharia-based political order requires obedience to a Sharia council.

Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) said this Islamic ideology seeks to “violently impose their totalitarian Sharia law on the globe.”

A Constitution that protects freedom of conscience versus a coercive Sharia system that opposed freedom of conscience. FAX Congress now. Tell your lawmakers to pass the Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act (H.R. 5722 and S. 3009).

In Dearborn, the controversy was about street names that honor Osama Siblani, who has a long history of calling for violence.

At an anti-Israel rally in Washington, D.C., Siblani led the crowd in a call-and-response: “Who is a freedom fighter?” The crowd shouted back, “Hezbollah!” Now Hezbollah is designated by the United States as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

This violent rhetoric became even more explicit at a Nakba Day rally, where Siblani urged those present to “fight” for the Palestinian cause with “stones, guns, planes, drones and rockets.”

When Pastor Ted questioned Siblani’s place of honor, Dearborn Mayor Hammoud came unglued. He told Pastor Ted that the day he moved away would be the day he would “launch a parade” to celebrate his departure.
