Their plans with Sharia...

The incoming Congress will include eight — yes, 8 — radical Muslim legislators.* That’s up from the current five. In addition, there are 255 identified elected Muslim officials across 26 U.S. states influencing our laws.

And while our team finds some peace in knowing God allowed this outcome, we also feel a deep sense of urgency. There is a narrow window to accomplish as much as possible before that new Congress comes into power.

There is no question radical Muslims want to impose Sharia law by force on America. They want to use our laws to destroy us.

“With your democratic laws we will colonize you,” proclaimed the Muslim Brotherhood leading ideologue, Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

Congress is back in session on Monday. Lawmakers have only 22 legislative business days before the new Congress is seated in January.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) introduced the Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act. If passed, it will "prevent all foreign nationals who observe Sharia from entering the U.S. or from remaining in the country," according to his congressional website.

Islam seeks global dominance by “dawa” (persuasion) or “jihad” (kinetic warfare). One speaker even went so far as to declare:

“Every Muslim on earth believes in the Sharia of Allah. Every Muslim on earth believes that democracy is the evil and Sharia is the good. ... [We want to] break democracy from within. ... You throw away the system and install a new system.”

In another clip, he said: “We make a decision to remove democracy through democracy.” We are facing a stealth jihad waged by the followers of Muhammad who seek to implement Sharia and destroy “evil” democracy.

This election reminded us that our hope is not in Washington:

"I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." — Psalm 16:8

This is a powerful promise that when our confidence comes from the right source, we will be unshakable. David's confidence wasn't the product of favorable circumstances. It flowed from his deliberate determination to keep God before him, even when he is physically running and hiding just to stay alive!

King David did not say he would never face challenges; instead, he identified the source of his strength in those challenges. That the Lord was continually before him.

It would be easy to focus on the election and allow Tuesday's results to leave us shaken, but we know that our story doesn’t end there. Scripture also reminds us in Psalm 20:7 that our ultimate trust is in God: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”

But our mission never stops there. We need to identify the greatest threats on the horizon, educate our legislators, and urge them to speak up and act to defend our constitutional principles.
